Visitors to Mettman can take a trip through time of a different kind in the historic Oberstadt part of town. Walking across Mettman’s main square and through the narrow lanes surrounding it gives you a good impression of what medieval life was like. The main square has been used as a backdrop for movies many times for that reason.
This is also the site of the 400-year old Mayor’s office with the town history building, providing interesting insights into Mettmann’s thousand-year history.
In the Stadtwald forest a natural swimming pool with white beaches, expansive lawns and wonderfully clear water makes for a very special vacation experience.
